NASA moon rocks land at Powell (Posted 10/1/2009 11:49 am)
Science specialist Cheryl Hammons transports moon rocks through the halls at Powell Intermediate School in Everman. The rocks were gathered by astronauts in NASA's Apollo program during their moon walks. Hammons was required to attend a NASA workshop this past summer to qualify to handle the priceless specimens.
NASA has loaned Dan Powell Intermediate School a set of rocks from the moon.   More...

The steps of the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth will be alive with music and dance during the fifth annual Day in the District, set for 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., September 26. Vendors will be in the cultural district for the free one day event which coincides with National Museum Day.
