Fort Worth -- Agnes M. Hughes, 89, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009.

 Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Everman, 501 W. Vaughn.

 Agnes motivated and assisted many young people to move successfully into their futures by helping them obtain their GEDs. She taught beauty school for 12 years and every one of her students passed their state board exams. Agnes was a notary for more than 30 years, notarizing papers up to her last days. She received a copyright for “Agnes Hughes Book of Wig Styling,” and received a patent for her wig cleaning solution.

 Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hughes; brothers, Dooley, Rusty and Henry; and her sister, Margie Howell.

 Survivors include her sons, Robert Wilder, Jr., Thomas Wilder, Jack Hughes and wife, Twila, and Dan Hughes; daughter, Susan Mackey and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Amanda Knoth, Elizabeth Dement, Iona Kay Calhoun, Sam Mackey, Emma Mackey, Zack Hughes, Haylee Hughes, Ginny Mae Logan, W.O. Hughes and Cody Hughes and numerous great-grandchildren.
